This package for the civilian and military
versions of the Boeing 307 Stratoliner includes a panel with four crew positions
(captain, first officer, flight engineer and flight radio operator) which
customizes itself to any of the three aircraft versions with a mouse click.
There is also a well-equipped VC panel.
To see what the real cockpit looked like, go to....
The panels in this package reflect the original 1937 cockpit and panel layout,
not the modernized Flying Cloud version. As such, it is the only accurate
Stratoliner panel available today, largely because it was developed from
original data supplied by The Boeing Company. New flight dynamics files
accurately conform to real world performance. The level of realism is adjustable
from easy-fly-now to detailed systems operations, with many levels in between.
More than 100 custom gauges, including working fuel/air ratio indicators, DF
bearing notes from the radio operator, working deicing systems, a historically
accurate feathering system, etc. Radio Range 4 cockpit controls are
pre-installed (but you must download and install the RR4 scenery, etc,
Also included in this package are two C75 repaints and separate C75 flight
dynamics reflecting the USAAF modifications, including extra fuel and higher
takeoff weight. FS9 and FSNavigator flight plans for C75 operations in the North
and South Atlantic are included. Here's "Apache" in Greenland...
The excellent Boeing Stratoliner by Jens B. Kristensen is required. NOTE:
Installing this panel package will NOT overwrite, modify or damage a JBK Boeing
307 aircraft installed in your computer. Instead, new B307 and C75 aircraft will
be installed. Then, those aircraft will use copies of a few JBK files to be
IMPORTANT: This package contains original panels and files created by me, but it
also requires model and texture files from the 307 Stratoliner created by Jens
B. Kristensen. It is quite all right for you (or me) to copy those files for our
own personal use, but we must respect Jens' wishes regarding further partial
public distribution. Therefore, after you have added Jens' files to my files,
you may use the resulting aircraft as much as you want on your computer, but you
must NOT distribute them further, i.e., upload them to the net, even as freeware.
Full installation details can be found in, of all places, either the
INSTALLATION.txt file or the INSTALLATION.doc file. (The instructions are the
same, but the Word document has illustrations and screenshots.)
I had a great time taking the old girl back in time. I hope you enjoy flying her
in the old days as much as I do!
